The operating idea
Myfixi is being developed as an alternative to open-quote home-services marketplaces. Instead of asking a customer to define a job, wait for multiple bids and decide which contractor to trust, the platform starts with the customer’s actual need: what is wrong, what outcome is required, how urgent it is and what kind of specialist can resolve it effectively.
How the model differs
- No open bidding contest between tradespeople for each customer request
- No expectation that the customer must compare multiple technical quotes without specialist knowledge
- The platform interprets the requirement and identifies the most appropriate type of specialist
- Matching considers suitability, availability, proximity and the nature of the requested work
- The intended service model places responsibility on Myfixi to coordinate a cost-conscious, quality-focused resolution pathway rather than simply introducing two parties
An Uber-like matching principle for home services
The matching logic is closer to an on-demand service network than a tender board. Once the need is understood, Myfixi is intended to identify an appropriate available specialist near the customer and connect that specialist to the job. The customer’s priority is the resolved problem; the platform’s role is to make the route to that resolution simpler, more reliable and more accountable.
Customer value proposition
- Less time searching for and screening individual tradespeople
- Reduced friction in deciding what type of specialist is actually needed
- A service pathway designed around quality, practical value and sensible cost
- Faster access to suitable local expertise when the need is time-sensitive
- Greater consistency through a platform-managed matching and service standard
Sanctuary's role
Sanctuary is supporting Myfixi across proposition design, operating-model development, customer journey, specialist matching logic, service-quality architecture, brand positioning and the path from concept into a scalable platform.
Brand proposition
Myfixi — Just live. The brand is intended to reduce the amount of time and attention people spend finding, comparing and coordinating home-service providers, so the customer can focus on everyday life while the platform coordinates the fix.
